Mortgage Loan

Based on the Danske Bank Group decision to discontinue banking services in the Baltic States, no new credit agreements are concluded with Danske Bank A/S Lithuania branch. From May 2020 management of the existing credit agreements will be taken over by Siauliu bankas.

Loan repayment

  • Loan repayment

    You can repay a loan by the:

    • Linear method – the loan is repaid in equal parts and interest is calculated on the remaining loan balance, thus repayments to the bank gradually decrease each month
    • Annuity method – equal amounts are repaid each month consisting of loan repayments and monthly interest
  • Early repayment of loan
    • In order to repay the loan early, the borrower must submit a written application at least three banking days before the requested repayment.
    • In the event of early repayment, the Bank is entitled to compensation (fee for the early repayment of loan) for possible losses directly related to the repayment of the loan or part of it prior to the expiry of the Agreement. The compensation may not exceed 3% of the amount of the loan or part of it, repayable before the expiry of the Agreement. The compensation is calculated in accordance with the procedure stated by the supervisory authority. The specified compensation is not required when the recipient of the loan repays the loan or a part of it on the days of interest recalculation.

  • Credit agreement changes

    If you wish to change the terms of the credit agreement:

    • Fill out the application for changing the terms and conditions of the credit agreement;
    • Submit a signed application to the Bank.
      You can submit an application for changing the terms and conditions of the agreement via the Bank's electronic system Danske eDocuments.

    Please note that the Bank may ask for additional documents, depending on your situation.

     You can select the property valuer or the property valuation company not included in the list of companies, which signed the cooperation agreement with us.

  • Property insurance

    The property that you pledge to the bank, except from land, must be insured by property insurance.

    You can get property insurance at any property insurance company acceptable to the bank:

The obligation to refund the credit is ensured with real estate mortgage (hypothec). In case of failing to perform the obligations undertaken as per the credit agreement you risk to lose your ownership rights to the mortgaged real estate.
