Danske Bank and Vipps MobilePay have been in close dialogue on how to support the affected employees going forward and have come to an agreement to offer comparable job positions to more than 40 employees from their Vilnius branch. For the remaining employees, Danske Bank will offer a fast-track application process for other open positions at Danske Bank Lithuania.
“We are eager to offer Vipps MobilePay employees a job with us in Danske Bank. Being one of the top employers and a hub for IT talent in Lithuania, Danske Bank is constantly looking for skilled and experienced talent and this is an opportunity for us to gain and onboard more than more than 40 new IT colleagues within a few months,” says Giedrius Dzekunskas, Site Manager of Danske Bank Lithuania.
New potential talent will help execute our strategic goals
As part of the agreement between Danske Bank and Vipps MobilePay, the current positions of IT professionals from Vipps MobilePay have been matched with current and future open roles in Danske Bank Lithuania.
“This would be one way to ramp-up on the talent needed for the execution of our Forward’28 strategy. Digitalisation is a strategic focus area in our strategy and our ambition is to offer customers easy digital access and more digital self-service. As some of the Vipps MobilePay colleagues have worked at Danske Bank previously and are familiar with our tech landscape, we have no doubt that they can create great value in a short time,” says Giedrius Dzekunskas and adds:
“Also, since there are still many other open positions in Danske Bank Lithuania, we have decided to offer a fast-track process for the rest of the employees in Vipps MobilePay Vilnius branch and our Talent Acquisition team will help them to apply – so hopefully we can welcome even more great talent from Vipps MobilePay.”
