Danske Bank focus areas

Happy employees - creative and productive employees. Therefore, we pay a lot of attention to the physical, emotional and financial well-being of our colleagues. This includes work - life balance, an active lifestyle, psychological and physical health, and future financial stability. We aim to make such standards the norm for the country's employers and society.

We aim to grow a diverse and inclusive culture to mirror the societies we are part of and to create equal opportunities for our colleagues. Nurturing a sense of belonging is essential to us. When people belong, they are comfortable with expressing themselves openly, freely and in their own voice and feel empowered to make a difference. We believe that diverse and inclusive culture will help us unlock the full potential of our employees and to become a better bank for all our stakeholders.

Choose the freedom to be yourself

Danske Bank employees have the opportunity to devote three working days a year to volunteer work. We call it Time2Give - colleagues can decide where to volunteer, whether to do it individually or with a team. This way, we devote more than 6,000 hours to good deeds every year, encourage colleagues to be good citizens and take responsibility for the world around them.

We aim to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible. Our offices are equipped with environmentally friendly solutions, including solar energy collectors, reuse of rainwater, and automated systems for managing energy resources.  Healthy and unused food from our office restaurants is donated to charity canteens every day. We consider ourselves leaders in Lithuania in promoting "green" habits of our colleagues, e.g. commuting by bike, car sharing, waste sorting, etc.

How do you commute to work?

As one of the largest financial institutions in the Nordic countries, Danske Bank has both the ability and the determination to be part of finding solutions to the challenges our planet and societies are facing. We are committed to creating sustainable progress, and we believe that including sustainability in all aspects of our business is fundamental to create lasting value for all our stakeholders.

May the actions speak for themselves

Imagine the change we can make in society with 4,200+ colleagues and their closest community. As one of the largest employers in Lithuania, we challenge ourselves to always be an example to other companies in the country, to set the standards of a modern and responsible workplace. Therefore, our social responsibility priorities primarily focus on our team - their well-being, growth, professional and personal success, values, and their individual social responsibility.
