LRT interview with Giedrius Dzekunskas: “We are destined to live well”
Once I worked in a basement – I took care of a telephone station, there was a garbage container at the door, and the first thing I did was catch very big rats. It’s hard to surprise me anymore,” said Giedrius Dzekunskas, adding that he later delegated the rat-catching task to a stray cat.
Today, G. Dzekunskas leads an organisation of more than 4,700 employees and is convinced that although Lithuania has no oil or other valuable natural resources, the country’s biggest asset is its curious and motivated people. He describes the company’s operations in Lithuania quite briefly: “We export knowledge and we import money.”
