On 1 May 2020 Danske Bank and Siauliu bankas completed the transaction by which Siauliu bankas acquired Danske Bank's private customers’ credit portfolio in Lithuania. The majority of the portfolio consists of mortgage loans, as well as consumer loans and leasing agreements.
As a result of this transaction, terms of the credit agreements remain unchanged, but from 1 May 2020, general terms and conditions and pricelist of Siauliu bankas apply to the transferred agreements.
Affected customers were informed about the transfer procedures in a separate notice.
Credit servicing
Credit servicing accounts have been opened for customers in Siauliu bankas. From 1 May 2020, customers must use these accounts for the performance of payment obligations arising from the transferred agreements.
Credit servicing accounts in Danske Bank will remain open until 31 May 2020. However, all payments made before this date will be automatically transferred to customers’ credit servicing accounts in Siauliu bankas. From 1 June, all payments made to credit servicing accounts in Danske Bank will be returned to the payer.
Danske eBank will be available to customers until 31 May 2020.
Transfer of collateral
All existing collateral to loan and leasing agreements and all collateral agreements have been transferred to Siauliu bankas. They remain in force under the existing terms and conditions. Customers do not have to do anything in relation to the transfer of collateral or pay any expenses related thereto.
Change of leased assets registration certificates
From 1 May 2020, Siauliu bankas becomes the lessor and the owner of leased vehicles. For this reason, Siauliu bankas will be included in the Regitra database as the owner of leased property and new registration certificates will be issued and delivered to customers by registered post, in the course of May.
Insurance
Pledged property, leased property and life insurance policies remain valid until the expiry date specified in the policies. Insurance companies were/will be informed of the change of beneficiary, hence customers do not need to take any action.
