Danske Bank intends to sell part of the corporate credits portfolio in Lithuania
Danske Bank has signed a contract for the sale of part of its corporate portfolio with Luminor Bank. The portfolio is worth approximately 40 million euros. It consists of Danske Bank’s corporate loans in Lithuania.
The transaction is scheduled to close in December. All customers, whose contracts will be transferred to Luminor, will be contacted directly by Luminor and Danske Bank.
In 2019, Danske Bank Group announced the decission to terminate banking services in the Baltic countries. No new contracts are concluded with customers. Only valid credit agreements continue being serviced in Lithuania. You can read the official announcement of the Danske Bank Group here.
In Lithuania, Danske Bank continues to operate the Global Technology & Services Center and remains one of the largest employers in the country.
