Leading a global team in regulatory reporting at Danske Bank and, in her free time, guiding Vilnius history tours, Lina Pivoriūtė shows that leadership goes beyond a job title. At work and outside the office, it’s about inspiring people, building engagement, and moving forward together.

Vilius shares what his role looks like in everyday life - supporting a large organisation, working closely with the Site Manager on governance, regulatory and budgeting matters, and helping align local priorities with group direction. He also reflects on how the Lithuania site has grown over time, why strong leadership communities matter in a complex organization, and how music and singing help him stay balanced and grounded.

"It’s always a trade-off, right? Sometimes it’s still possible to manage everything within a single working day, depending on the timelines. You have to think about what’s the more important issue at the time that you need to prioritise. I think communicating with whoever is requesting the service, and also the team, makes for a better result."

For Ieva, leadership starts with self-leadership: taking responsibility for your actions, thoughts, and goals. “You don’t need a fancy title to lead yourself through everyday actions and tasks.” Her approach combines empathy, clarity, and balance both at work and at home.
